Moto Park is Russia’s major showcase for ATV, scooter and motocross products. The three-day trade show, held between February 20 and 22 at the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Centre in Moscow, was an important opportunity for STARCO Eastern Group to present the company’s wide range of products for the growing leisure and fun segment.
In recent years, STARCO has established a position as market leader in the supply of special wheels solutions for ATV applications, typically offering wheels and tyres that enhance the performance of standard OEM ATV’s for more demanding professional or leisure applications.
Despite fewer exhibitors at this year’s Moto Park event, the exhibition attracted many distributors and enthusiasts, giving STARCO Eastern Group the platform to present a wide range of products, including tyres from Deestone and Kenda, as well as a wide range of dual-wheels and conversion kits for ATV’s. STARCO has pioneered the idea of conversion kits, whereby specially selected tyres and wheels, together with hub adapters, are offered as a tried and tested package enabling ATV users to customise their vehicles for better performance. The concept has won the approval of many OEM and Aftermarket ATV customers and has underlined the ability of STARCO engineers to provide proven value-added special wheels solutions for the ATV market.
This year’s Moto Park trade show saw the launch by STARCO of the Kenda Bear Claw K592 EVO tyre, a tyre that is winning broad acceptance for demanding off-road ATV applications by professional and sports users worldwide and is helping to maintain STARCO as a market leader with over 30% of the ATV market share in the Russian market.
A highlight at this year’s exhibition was the visit to the STARCO Eastern Group booth by Russian motor cycle rider Alexey Naumov, a well known sportsman who was the first Russian to complete the legendary Dakar Marathon. Alexey uses Kenda MX tyres on his motorcycles.
With the company’s strong presence in regional markets, combined with comprehensive product ranges backed up by specialist engineering and sales expertise, STARCO customers may be forgiven for assuming that STARCO is a specialist company serving their segment alone. But, as events such as the Moto Park 2015 trade show demonstrate, STARCO, with the company’s global manufacturing, purchasing and long-established engineering expertise is able to serve the needs of a wide range of applications worldwide, without losing the ability to offer specialist knowledge, service and availability to all customers.
